Saturday Summer Series 2022

Way back when, when pussy was a cat, we once did a great and very wonderous thing - we took our weekly Tuesday Night Big Quiz at The Thomas Kemp and did another one on a Saturday afternoon. Those that remember it will fondly hark back to a very merry time - a different feel to the Quiz; flowing Camaraderie and an overall sense of joy and excitement.

Well, this summer on the Last Saturday of Each Month, we will be doing it all again. But much BIGGER and some might say BETTER. From May through to August, The Big Quiz at The Thomas Kemp will kick off its Saturday Summer Series, running a bigger, bolder and better quiz from 1pm to 3pm. Scores will be aggregated and totalled up over the Series and there will be real life PRIZES for the winners, losers and most points scored, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...

Now, whilst it would be simply perfectly good enough to invite just our regular Thomas Kemp Big Quiz teams, the likes of Unit 4; LTS; Museli Mountaineers; K Team; The People That Quizzed Themselves To Death; The Hawkes; Tom & The Fizz Chicks; Paper Aeroplanes; Riley Loves Bowie; the Two for Tuesday (115)ers and many others here and abroad - that just would NOT be good enough! Thus, each of these Saturday Big Quizzes will be open to ALL of my glorious and gorgeous Big Quiz Teams split across three venues: The Thomas Kemp; The Avenue in Saltdean and The Prince George in town! So be prepared for this "Champion of Champions" Summer Saturday Series, because The Super Six; The EJITs; The Queen Beez; Quiz On My Face; I've Quizzed My Pants; Rapid Bowel Movement; Bootcut Foreskins; Bonnie & Clyde; No Penis For Old Men; Come Through You're Single; Gull Power and many more will also be invited! And indeed, we may well allow the regular public to field teams! Shock horror!

The Thomas Kemp is literally the best pub in Kemptown and it does a great range of Boz and Food, with vegan options. Doug and his team are just lovely people too and really enjoy the Big Quiz as well - maybe they will be able to play along? There is a big, beautiful outdoor space too, that hopefully we'll be de-camping to once the quiz has ended and we might even be able to swing some additional food out there like a BBQ, or something - but that is 100% FAKE NEWS currently! We can but dream... The pub opens at Noon and on each Quiz Saturday - I'll be there at that time and I'll be staying until early evening to have a drink and a lark with all you Lovelies.

Each Saturday Quiz will run almost identically to a normal Big Quiz, with the exception of a BONUS Ukulele Music Round to kick us off. It's £5 per person (includes RAFFLE) and I strongly suggest fielding a team of 4+ (6 max as per usual), as you really want to give yourselves the best chance at placing high each month for the SILVERWARE! With a higher "entry" fee, there will be considerably more money in the pot for the TOP FIVE teams!
